New South Wales · remote and on-site delivery

AI consulting for Sydney businesses

Sydney is home to most of Australia’s major banks, insurers and superannuation funds, and the businesses that supply them inherit APRA’s expectations whether they are regulated or not. When a Sydney client asks about AI, the second question is usually how it fits CPS 234 and CPS 230.

We work with financial services firms, professional services and mid-size companies across the CBD, North Sydney, Parramatta and Macquarie Park. Delivery is remote from our Queensland base, with on-site workshops in Sydney when they add value.

APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230
CPS 234 sets information security requirements for APRA-regulated entities, including over their service providers; CPS 230, in force since 1 July 2025, covers operational risk and material service providers. An AI vendor handling member data can become a material service provider.
NSW privacy law (PPIP Act and HRIPA)
The PPIP Act applies to NSW public sector agencies; HRIPA covers health information held by agencies and private health providers. NSW agencies have been under a mandatory data breach notification scheme since November 2023.
Privacy Act 1988: automated decision disclosure
From 10 December 2026, APP entities must disclose in their privacy policy the kinds of personal information used in automated decisions that significantly affect individuals.

General information, checked October 2026. Not legal advice; laws and dates change, so confirm with your own counsel. See our AI regulatory compliance overview for more.

Time zone and delivery

AEST / AEDT

Same time zone as our Gold Coast base from April to October. During NSW daylight saving you are one hour ahead of us, which barely affects a working day. Sydney is a short flight from the Gold Coast for on-site sessions.

We also work with businesses on the Central Coast and in Newcastle and Wollongong.

Typical Sydney projects

  • Complaints triage under RG 271

Incoming complaints classified, acknowledged within the required timeframes and routed to the right team, with every step logged for internal dispute resolution reporting.

  • Material service provider documentation

Architecture, data-flow and control documentation for an AI deployment, prepared for a CPS 230 service provider assessment.

  • Client onboarding for professional firms

Identity checks, engagement letters and conflict checks collected and filed automatically, with a partner approving each new client.

Questions from Sydney businesses

Can an APRA-regulated entity use your AI services?
Yes, as long as the engagement is managed under your CPS 234 and CPS 230 frameworks. We provide the documentation your risk team needs and can deploy within your own cloud tenancy.
Do you have a Sydney office?
No. We serve Sydney remotely from our Gold Coast base and come to Sydney for workshops and launches.
