Western Australia · remote and on-site delivery

AI consulting for Perth and Western Australia

Perth businesses run operations hundreds or thousands of kilometres from head office, on mine sites, gas fields and farms where connectivity is limited. That makes offline and on-premise AI more than a security preference here; often it is the only way a tool will work on site.

Western Australia also has a new privacy law. The Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 began applying to the WA public sector and its contracted service providers on 1 July 2026. We work with resources, energy and agriculture businesses and government suppliers, remotely and with planned on-site visits.

Rules that apply in Western Australia

What we check during discovery for Perth clients, and how it changes the design.

Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 (WA)
Privacy obligations apply to WA public sector entities and their contracted service providers from 1 July 2026, including rights relating to automated decision-making. The mandatory breach notification provisions follow on 1 January 2027.
Privacy Act 1988: automated decision disclosure
Private-sector APP entities must disclose the use of personal information in significant automated decisions from 10 December 2026.
Work health and safety records
Mine safety and WHS laws require accurate incident and hazard records. AI can help draft and search them, but a competent person must still review and sign off.

General information, checked October 2026. Not legal advice; laws and dates change, so confirm with your own counsel. See our AI regulatory compliance overview for more.

Time zone and delivery

Australian Western Standard Time (AWST, UTC+8)

Two hours behind our Gold Coast base all year, since neither state uses daylight saving. Your morning meetings fit in our late morning and afternoon. Visits to Perth and regional sites are planned in advance.

We also work with businesses in Fremantle, Mandurah, Bunbury, Kalgoorlie and the Pilbara, and remotely in Darwin.

Typical Perth projects

  • Offline maintenance assistant

Technicians ask questions of manuals, work orders and past fault records on a site server or rugged laptop, with no internet connection required.

  • Shift handover summaries

Handover notes, alarms and production data summarised for the incoming crew, and stored for review.

  • Government contractor compliance under PRIS

Personal information handling for WA government contracts documented, with automated-decision notices and breach response steps ready before 1 January 2027.

Questions from Perth businesses

Can AI work on a remote site without internet?
Yes. We deploy open-weight models on local servers or rugged hardware so search and drafting work fully offline, then sync records when a connection is available.
Does the WA PRIS Act apply to private companies?
It applies to WA public sector entities and to private businesses acting as their contracted service providers. Other private businesses remain under the federal Privacy Act.
