New York State · remote and on-site delivery

AI consulting for New York businesses

New York companies tend to come to us with a compliance question before a technology one. A broker-dealer wants to know whether an agent can draft client emails without breaking record-keeping rules; a staffing firm wants to screen applicants without triggering a bias audit it is not ready for. We answer that first, then build.

We serve New York remotely from our Fort Lauderdale base, which shares your time zone, and travel to Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island or New Jersey for workshops and launches when that is useful.

Rules that apply in New York State

What we check during discovery for New York clients, and how it changes the design.

NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulation (23 NYCRR Part 500)
Applies to banks, insurers and other DFS-licensed entities. Its access-control, MFA and asset-inventory requirements extend to AI systems that touch nonpublic information, and DFS has published guidance on AI-specific cyber risk.
NYC Local Law 144
Employers and agencies using an automated employment decision tool for candidates or employees in New York City need an independent bias audit within the past year and must give notice. We design hiring automations so a person makes the decision unless you are ready to audit.
New York SHIELD Act
Requires reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards for New Yorkers’ private information, regardless of where your company is based.

General information, checked October 2026. Not legal advice; laws and dates change, so confirm with your own counsel. See our AI regulatory compliance overview for more.

Time zone and delivery

Eastern Time (ET)

No time difference with our US team, so stand-ups and reviews sit inside normal Manhattan hours. On-site days are planned around key milestones rather than billed as a standing presence.

We also work with companies in Westchester, Long Island, northern New Jersey and Stamford, and with New York firms whose operations sit in other states.

Typical New York projects

  • Client-service drafting with an audit trail

An agent drafts responses from approved sources and logs every draft, edit and approval, so supervisors can show who sent what and why.

  • Recruiting support that stays outside LL144

Scheduling, document collection and candidate FAQs automated; screening and ranking left with your recruiters unless a bias audit is in place.

  • Due-diligence document review

Data rooms summarised clause by clause with links back to the source page, run in a private environment when the deal requires it.

Questions from New York businesses

Can an AI agent be used by a DFS-regulated firm?
Yes, if it sits inside your Part 500 program: access controls, MFA, logging and vendor review all apply. We document those controls as part of the build so your CISO can sign off.
Will a hiring automation need a bias audit under Local Law 144?
Only if it substantially assists or replaces the hiring decision. Many useful automations, like scheduling and paperwork, do not. We map which side of the line each step falls on before building it.
