Texas · remote and on-site delivery

AI consulting for businesses in Austin, Dallas and Houston

Texas gets one page rather than three because the rules that matter most here are state rules, and they apply the same way in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston. The Texas Responsible AI Governance Act took effect on January 1, 2026, and most of our Texas conversations now start with what it does and does not require.

The industries differ by metro: energy and healthcare in Houston, logistics, financial services and franchise businesses around DFW, software in Austin. We serve all three remotely and travel in for workshops and launches.

Industries we work with in Texas

Energy, oil and gas

Field reports, maintenance records and permit paperwork turned into structured data, with on-premise options for operators that will not send operational data to a public cloud.

Energy AI

Healthcare

Hospital systems, specialty practices and their vendors around the Texas Medical Center and beyond, where state medical-privacy law adds to HIPAA.

Healthcare AI

Logistics and distribution

DFW and Houston distribution operations automating carrier communications, dock scheduling and exception handling.

Logistics AI

Franchise and multi-location services

Home services, clinics and restaurants that need the same agent and CRM setup across dozens of locations.

AI for small business

Rules that apply in Texas

What we check during discovery for Texas clients, and how it changes the design.

Texas Responsible AI Governance Act (HB 149, TRAIGA)
Effective January 1, 2026. Enforced only by the Texas Attorney General, with a 60-day cure period and civil penalties from $10,000 to $200,000 per violation. It prohibits certain intentional harmful uses, requires healthcare providers to disclose AI use to patients, recognises the NIST AI Risk Management Framework as a defence, and creates a 36-month regulatory sandbox.
Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA)
In force since July 1, 2024, with no revenue threshold: it reaches most businesses that are not small businesses as defined by the SBA. Profiling with legal or similarly significant effects carries opt-out and assessment duties.
Texas Medical Records Privacy Act
Broader than HIPAA: it covers anyone who handles protected health information, and requires staff training and patient notice for electronic disclosures.

Time zone and delivery

Central Time (CT)

One hour behind our Eastern-time team, which gives a full shared working day. El Paso, on Mountain Time, adds another hour. On-site visits are scheduled around discovery and go-live.

We also work with businesses in San Antonio, Fort Worth, Plano, The Woodlands and El Paso.

Typical Texas projects

  • TRAIGA-aligned AI inventory

A register of every AI system you use, mapped to the NIST AI RMF so you can point the Attorney General to a recognised framework if a question ever comes.

  • Patient AI disclosure for Texas providers

Plain-language disclosure added to intake, chat and phone flows wherever AI takes part in a patient interaction.

  • Multi-location lead handling

One CRM and agent configuration rolled out across franchise locations, with location-specific hours, services and handover rules.

Questions from Texas businesses

Does TRAIGA apply to my business?
It applies to anyone developing or deploying AI in Texas, but most of its prohibitions target intentional misuse, and enforcement is by the Attorney General only, with a 60-day cure period. Healthcare providers have a specific disclosure duty. We review your uses against the Act as part of discovery.
Do you serve Austin, Dallas and Houston equally?
Yes. Delivery is remote from our US team for all three, with on-site visits for workshops and launches wherever the client is.
